He was my heartthrob back in the day as Illya Kuryakin. A friend and I had an ongoing argument as to which was better - Man From U.N.C.L.E or Secret Agent Man.
I never watched NCIS so didn’t know that character. Also didn’t know he was married to Jill Ireland, who subsequently married Charles Bronson. Apparently McCallum introduced them on The Great Escape set.
I actually only know him from NCIS. He was one of the original regulars, and since Mark Harmon’s departure, the longest-serving, although he did cut down his workload the last few seasons. I had no idea he was 90.
How sad. RIP Ducky.
He was amazing in Man from U.N.C.L.E.
I watched both Man from U.N.C.L.E and NCIS. Adored him. So sad 
I found out now that he played the character Steel in Sapphire & Steel a long time ago.
My mother used to make me get a pixie haircut every spring. I still remember the day I showed up with a fresh cut and the boys started calling me Ilya Kuryakin. To be fair, with my very short blonde hair, I did bear a strong resemblance.
I was watching NCIS last night (on network television, no less) when they quietly flashed a “In Memory of…” card. My first thought was “Wait. How did I miss that in my news feed?” Had no idea it was breaking news. Amazing career arc.
I found it fascinating to learn that his boss in The Man from UNCLE (Leo Carroll) was born in 1886. That really is a long time ago.
McCallum turned 90 on September 19th. Am old enough to remember him as Illya and as Ducky. Legendary characters, brilliant man.
