There are multiple sources online saying that she weighed around 230 pounds when she got bariatric surgery. At 5ft 3in tall (various online sources) that’s a 40 BMI.

I wonder if that happened after she lost her son to suicide. Understandably, that completely devastated her. I know that she was so destroyed by his death-I actually wondered when word came out of her death if it wasn’t a suicide brought on by heartbreak.
She had 3 other kids to live for.
I think I read that she actually said something along the lines that they were the only reason she could get out of bed each day.
I have a friend who lost one of her daughters to a brain tumor. She told me that even though her other two kids are here and have given her grandchildren that there are days where she just can’t bear the pain. I worry about her.
That type of grief isn’t logical.

The grief isn’t logical, but other needs can keep you going. The child I had needed me and I needed her. A friend’s only child was murdered and the grief is unbelievable, and I think she gets up every day because of her husband and her mother (who is in her 90s) need her.
I’m very glad for Lisa Marie’s children that she didn’t commit suicide or die of a drug overdose.
