Your resume is good. I think you have a picked a good number of activities to dedicate yourself too, so do not waste time doing more stuff. As for Junior year, shoot for the starts in your activities! Try to place in NFL, Mock Trial and FBLA Nats and that should distinguish your resume.

Test scores are a massive part of your application, so i would definitely focus on those.

thank you! do you have any advice on math? I really do not want to take pre calc or calc and want to lean more towards accounting & probs & stats… but everyone has told me i need to take calc… thoughts?

If you are not very math-oriented, then I do not think it will hurt you very much. However, I think just for the sake of admissions, you should take AP Calc AB (if available) at some point; just because everyone takes AB Calc. It’s honestly a pretty joke curriculum. I took the class sophomore year and I am not necessarily a math genius.

will it really hurt me if i don’t take calc?

Where is Algebra 2? Pretty sure that’s a requirement for colleges…
And personally, I would really recommend it. While you may not want to pursue math, it let’s colleges know that you still have that knowledge of calculus. The same way how I’m not English oriented, but I am still taking the most rigorous English pathway in my highschool.

So what all these guys said was excellent. The only thing I can add, and really the only thing I should stress is study for the SAT or ACT (Which ever you’re taking). The test is not as easy as it may sound and besides, taking it really just sucks, so you really only want to take it once, twice tops

sorry, I forgot to mention I am currently taking an alg2 course over the summer so I can skip up to precalc for my junior year if I decide to take it.

on a side note, does anyone have good college recommendations for me, keeping in mind my resume? Or at least a good level of difficulty for colleges I could get into?
