My daughter just opened her portal.
Admitted CS with Presidential scholarship! Yay!
Do you mind sharing his stats? We are still waiting to hear - WGPA 4.34, SAT 1560 (800 Math), meh ECs. Applied RD for CS.
Also still waiting for CS, 4.0/4.9, ACT 36, reasonably strong ECs
Stats: 3.5 UW from a competitive school
6 APs; college level courses A; Eagle scout; worked part time as associate data engineer; 1450 SAT; decent ECs, great essay. Has shown demonstrated interest from the beginning- attended their webinars, visited campus etc.,
Your kid will get in with such a high stats ! Hang in there.
My kid was accepted to into CS yesterday (RD) with a presidential scholarship (18k): 1560 SAT, 4.0 UW, 40 college credits, music heavy ECs. It’s definitely the smallest merit scholarship so far of 6 schools. I believe they many of the 40 college credits will transfer at least.
Has anyone heard anything about the performing arts scholarship?
my son also got accepted with the same scholarship.
Son accepted to Mechanical Engineering. $18.5k/yr Presidential Scholarship. 1580 SAT (one sitting), 4.0uw GPA. Good rigor for his school where not a lot of APs are offered. Decent ECs but not really STEM related. More athletic and service based. Going to be going out to see the school before deciding.
My son got in for Environmental Science last week with a Presidential Scholarship of $22.5k a year.
Accepted today into RIT’s MS/BS program.
Apparently a few top Freshmen applicants are accepted early, this program is usually for existing undergrads.
Applied as a Computer Engineering major for RD, and received the $18.5k per year Presidential scholarship. Was accepted back in February.
Any news about the Honors program?
My daughter received this also!
My kid was also accepted today into the accelerated BS/MS program, but for Computer Science. As a software engineer, I’ve always questioned how valuable an MS is for my field. These days, I’m a hiring manager of software engineers. Still, it’s a very interesting offer. It seems there’s no downside to opting into the accelerated program and changing one’s mind a year or so later. I’m interested in learning more.
