I have narrowed my college search down to RIT and the University of Washington Seattle. Looking for thoughts. I have had the chance to visit both campuses and, while I could see myself at either, I much preferred Seattle weather and the large city. I also feel as thought Seattle will have more opportunities and UW is well known amongst Seattle employers. The tuition at each school is identical, however, RIT has offered my 13k a year. I'm looking to study Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and possibly also Industrial Design. Can anyone help? What a hard decision!

FWIW, UW is MUCH more selective than RIT in my opinion if that helps at all. My son’s going to RIT in the fall but considered UW too. in the end, it was too far away for him (even though we have good friends in the area). Good luck with the decision. I don’t think you can go wrong either way.
