Roadtrip!!!

I'm planning a roadtrip to see many of the schools that I'm interested in for the end of the month. I was wondering, how many schools can you look at in one day and get a good feel for them.
I will be going up to Minn., and am interested in Carleton, Macalester, and, to an extent, St. Olaf. Can I visit them all in one day, or do I need to spend two days (or even three???)?

I would like to get a tour and an interview in (though the interview isn't a must for all the schools).

You'll really want to take the time to experience each campus, so I suggest doing it in at least a day and a half. I suppose it's possible to do all of them in one day, but I think that would be shortchanging both you and the colleges.

At least two days. And bring a journal and/or a camera to make notes and take pictures so that you can compare them later on. While you're there, just try to get as much information as possible.

I agree, two schools per day is the most in order to get a minimum feel for each. The tour, the Q&A session and hanging around for a bit take at least four hours.

I'd suggest two days, but check their tour and information session schedule and work around that. IMO it's much better to do the information session as well as the tour, and to take some time getting a feel for the campus and the town on your own. Carleton and St. Olaf are both in Northfield, a small town you can get the feel for quickly, so if you can schedule both in one day, that should be sufficient. Macalester is only a 30-40 minute drive away in Saint Paul, but Saint Paul is much bigger, especially if you also want to get a feel for its even larger twin Minneapolis. That's easily worth a day if not more.

This is D's summer college trip for Florida schools:

Florida Atlantic University
Florida Gulf Coast University
University of South Florida
Florida State University
University of Florida
University of Central Florida

6 days

Some schools are 1 day, some are two. Most schools schedule appointments for campus tours and admissions information at 10am and 2pm. Reservations are filling up so if you plan on visiting this summer, check to see about making reservations.
