Yep, all of you Robertson semifinalists can safely assume you’ve been admitted to Duke as long as you keep your grades up this last semester of high school. Congratulations and welcome to the Gothic Wonderland!! Please let me know if I can answer any questions ya’ll might have about the school (I graduated this past May).

Hi!
I recently received an e-mail saying that I “have been selected as a UNC-Chapel Hill semifinalist,” but I only applied to Duke. I didn’t apply to UNC- Chapel Hill, so does anyone have a similar problem or can anyone clear this up?
Thanks!

I did not apply for the Robertson Scholarship because I didn’t know about it, however, I was notified on Friday that I was a semifinalist. Needless to say, I am really excited. Does being a Robertson semifinalist mean that I cannot be a finalist for AB Duke? Obviously I can’t win both, but I wonder whether I could hedge my bet for merit money at Duke by pursuing both?

I kept a spreadsheet of last year’s semi-finalists. There were three dual, 34 Duke, and 32 UNC. I don’t know how many scholarships they offered, but my D later crossed paths with five kids who got it and did not accept the scholarship. Hope this helps get you semi-finalists pretty excited about your odds.

I received a likely letter from Duke in early February and have heard nothing since. Is there any chance that I still have a shot at even a small merit award ?? or would I have heard by now?

I didn’t know about the Robertson, but I received an email from UNC’s undergraduate office stating that I am a semi-finalist and should fill in the Robertson application, which I did. However, Duke is my dream college and I received no email from the undergraduate office… does this mean that I am only being considered for the Robertson Program from UNC and not Duke?
