I got accepted into UAlbany through early action with intentions on pursuing a degree in political science and taking pre-law classes to prep me for law school. Does my acceptance into UAlbany automatically mean I'm accepted to study at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs, or do I need to apply for admission.

The reason I ask is because when I visited the university a speaker said that the Rockefeller college of public affairs was the most selective college in the university.

Same situation for me as well. Got my letter of acceptance (transfer) this morning, saying I've been accepted as a Political Science major. My GPA is average, so I'm also wondering if getting accepted means I'm also in the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs.

Yea I called a while ago and found out that underclassmen can switch their major at any time (and most credits are transferable). At UAlbany's open house they raved about how select their poly sci department is but neglected to say that only applies for grad school.
