My room is located in the basement (Buyers Hall). Would it get hot and stuffy at certain times of the year?

Basement rooms look out towards the U store and the junior slums so you'll be fine. It's not really in the basement.

how far is dillon gym from buyers hall?

Bentley87, im on the second floor.

BallPlayer, you are in luck, because the second floor is where our RCA from last year is living, and she is super nice and organizes really good study breaks (and trust me, free food is the best thing since sliced bread).

Albert, Dillon is about three to five minutes from Buyers. And don't worry about living in the basement. Every room gets hot and stuffy at certain times of the year, no matter what floor you're on.

thank you .

Yay buyers hall! I was there last year. You will have awesome study breaks, all the time.

albert87 and Qwertulen...I'm in that room as well XD

three roommates on CC... now that's something

Holy...you gotta be kidding me!

Well, Princeton's a small place. :p

Also, sliced bread was an awful invention. Awful, I say. I've been baking a lot of bread this summer (at home, not as a job) and if you get used to fresh bread you're never going to want to eat presliced, floppy bread in a plastic bag again. Same goes if you were used to always having fresh bread in Germany... mmm...

Die Freshenbred?

Nice try :) Das frische Brot.

Ich liebe das frische Brot.
I wish the dining halls had fresh bread and not that nasty, dry, bought-in-bulk-twice-a-year kind (or do they already?).

But hey, speaking of food (and getting back on topic), we come back to a newly improved dining experience, thanks to major renovations of the Rocky-Mathey dining halls over the summer!

Is RoMa supposed to be just like Whitman? That is, everything made-to-order instead of buffet?

Ich kann nicht Deutsches sprechen. :_(

I met a guy today that said he was a chef at Rocky-Mathey. He claims it to be the BEST on campus and that everything is brand new.

At least we'll eat well, then. :)

Quirk -- yup. There was major renovation going on in Rocky-Mathey when I visited early last month. They even dug up one of the big trees in the Holder courtyard and transplanted it to Whitman. While I'm going to miss the distinctive contrast of personality b/t the Rocky and Mathey dining halls, I'm also looking forward to not having to guess at which dining hall friends are going to be in. :)

Also, who calls it RoMa? Why are you bringing your substandard Stanford-speak to Princeton? ;)

Bentley87, we do in fact have fresh bread! On Saturday or Sunday nights, and whenever we have special holiday meals or Chef's nights. Occasionally at other times, too. But it usually disappears pretty quickly. (Also because sometimes the fresh bread gets stolen, like the cakes do.) BUt perhaps this year will be different! :)

Qwertulen: Jetzt sprichst du vielleicht nicht so gut, aber wir haben dich schon gut verstanden! :) Are you planning to learn German at Princeton?

"frozen"--that's not palo-alto speak, actually. it's puds-speak, or so dearest roommate from last year said.
