<p>Is it important for AP Calculus BC Exam?</p>

<p>It is one of most important Calculus theorems for derivatives, and therefore, you have to know it.</p>

<p>You don’t have to like use it in proofs or anything, but it is important to know.</p>

<p>It’s a specific version of the mean value theorem. If you know the mean value theorem, then you know Rolle’s theorem.</p>

<p>I don’t remember specifically getting tested on it last year. You do on the other hand have to know the MVT.</p>

<p>Apparently I learned a lot of these techniques and know them already, but I just did not know there was a name for some of these methods.</p>
