Do any of these universities have rolling admissions?
I’m sending my ucas this week for cambridge and was wondering when I would start to get decisions for University of Edinburgh, UCL, KCL, and the LSE.
It varies, even by department, but some will pull out top candidates and send them a reply very quickly, others handle it in batches. Some may wait with borderline candidates to see how many better applicants they get. The UCAS system is good at keeping you updated on status.
FWIW my S18 got an unconditional offer from KCL in the first week of November last year. UCL were much slower and didn’t even start to look at it until January. LSE were also slow. But it can differ significantly by course because the process isn’t centralized.
@kiwi351 I think they are all rolling, well, I can speak to 4 of those schools, my DD applied to all but LSE and heard from them all at different times. Edinburgh took the longest however, 3 months, the others were anywhere from 3 wks to 2 mos.
