Rollling Admission Schools?

I've been searching for a thread on this topic but haven't found one...SO...maybe you can help make a listing of great rolling admissions schools. If there is any info you can provide about dates (for applying, notification) stats etc. that would be helpful!

My S applied to UMich and it was a relief to have one acceptance in hand early.

Carolyn has a pointer to a long (and still incomplete) list at http://admissionsadvice.com

Indiana is rolling

i believe uconn is

UMichigan, UWisconsin, Penn State, Beloit, Eckerd, U Pittsburgh

Exactly what I will recommend my S do (next year) for the same reason..... and also maybe because I went there too.

I believe UConn is no longer rolling. Schools we know have rolling admissions...U of South Carolina, Duquesne University. Our kids applied to those rolling schools and had acceptances before Thanksgiving.

adding a few more: Towson, Quinnipiac
I believe these are modified rolling: Ithaca, Hofstra

I believe that University of Cincinnati has either rolling admission or requires applications in by Oct 1 so that they can decide before December.

RIT may have rolling admission too. They surely do decide quickly.

Pitt and Penn State are rolling.

U Missouri - Columbia
U Illinois - Urbana/Champaign

you might look at the commonapp.org website. if rolling admission is an option, that would be noted for the particular school.

i'm pretty sure york is rolling

One point to be made about some schools with rolling admissions: S goes to Quinnipiac. He applied early Oct due to advice given at info session when we visited. A friend of his with higher stats applied in December and was rejected. I had alway correlated rolling admissions with "easy to get into", but it was not the case with this school. The adcom said most spots were filled by December and he was not kidding. Same thing with St. Joseph's in Philly. It pays to ask early in the game.

Savannah College of Art & Design

AND they are already taking apps for admissions starting as far out as Fall 2009. You can put in as much info that you have now, they start your admissions file and you continue adding to it things like test scores, FAFSA, etc. When it is complete, they will make a decision.

I'm a huge huge fan of rolling admissions. If you've got an acceptance for a program you like early in the process - especially if it's a school high up your list - it's a gigantic stress reliever.

most public schools are

Hiram College & Ithaca College also have rolling admissions ( small privates)

Ithaca College has rolling admissions only for transfer students. For incoming freshmen, it has Regular Decision and Early Decision. No rolling.

Ithaca, apparently had a modified rolling admissions last year. My son found out about his acceptance earlier in the process than expected.
