hahaha!!hopefully you will get that awesome roommate you want! and you never know maybe KC might not be soo bad. See if you can talk to anyone who was at KC last yr..look em up in the facebook...might change ur perpective on things...you gonna try and change in the fall?

i called and they said that they are posting official housing at 3:00 eastern.

Haha, one of my friends lived in KC last year. I went to her for housing advice and she said "anywhere but KC." And then the other day I asked her if its going to be as bad as I think, to which she replied "yes." It is entirely possible that my negative view of the place comes solely from her bad experience.

Though, I've been meeting some people on myspace and facebook who have KC, they all seem like cool people. I haven't found anyone else on the first floor yet though. So yeah, me and the other quad rejects will party it up.

One good thing about KC - it's nicely abbreviated.

My roommate isn't on either Facebook or MySpace

mine isn't either

neither is mine! hehe..guess we have to wait till Pennster...Hopefully they know about that!

Mine isn't either :(

Let's hope they know about Pennster :P

Dang I want to talk to him. He's from Lousiana.

An Indian kid from New Orleans. Haha, thats my roomate.

Maybe he'll let me meet up with those hot Indian girls.

Haha... I know how you all feel about roommates not being on facebook, etc. Mine wasn't either last year, and he didn't even make it on Pennster until almost August. Then he sent me a message saying "umm.. are you my roommate?" Oh boy did that set the tone for our year together...

Fun times, I can imagine!

mine's from colorado... who are u brett!? lol

mine's from los angeles
mmmm... i hope we get along at the very least

hey choco, what were her reasons for hating kc so much?

she just said that nobody really had an interest in hanging out or becoming good friends. She said everyone was very nice though.

Yeah, don't worry about your roomates just yet, you have all summer. I didn't talk to my roomate till like mid summer (when she got back from touring europe.. she was loaddddeddd.. ended up in SDT , which when you get to penn, you'll realize what that means, lol). She ended up getting a room in the quad the first day and moving out (again, she's loaded and i'm 99% certain that is how she got a room..) I could tell we wouldn't have gotten along. Fast foward 3 weeks, I got a new roomate who is now one of my best friends. If you relaly don't like your roomate there is a room change period and even if you're not good friends with your roomtae, you don't have to hang out with them alll the time.

I got Hill Single Room 305.

mnasy1122 - how did she end up switching?

Honestly, I have no idea.. she was on some "waitlist" and guess enough people moved out of the quad? (or changed their minds at the last minute, and I guess maybe a sophmore/junior room opened?) I don't think it was 100% legit and would suspect it had something to do with money.. I know it's certainly not a common occurrance.. the only two people I know who moved into the quad were her and a girl that lived across the hall who moved after christmas break and had crazy connections in the housing department.
