<p>So, I'd like to contact my potential roommate ASAP regarding what to bring, how to arrange stuff, etc. Does anybody know when our corresponding college (in my case, College 10) will tell us who our roommates are?</p>
<p>Well according to a friend that called UCSC, we’ll have to wait till August to find out who are roommates are but we find out on July 12th which kind of dorm (ex. Single, Double, Triple, Quad) we have.</p>
<p>UCSC will send you an envelope probably around early august if i remember correctly about who your roommate is, what to bring to your dorm etc. The paper that tells you who your roommate is will have their email and depending on the person maybe their phone number and address as well if they give that info out to UCSC. Based on the info that is given you can contact them and arrange who should bring what.</p>

<p>They’ll tell us which hall and room number by monday. They wont tell us the roommate till August 9th, but! You could always go on the facebook group and list your info and maybe you’ll match with someone!! Then you could find your roommate(s).</p>

<p>@dre101 Most likely if you don’t update that section, your roommate will probably only get your email.</p>
<p>So I’m confused… I’m a transfer student and the transfer packet for Porter that was sent said that we would know our roommate before our orientation day (July 23)… And I’m hearing we find out in August???</p>
<p>That’s UCSC for ya. xD Anyway, I’m not sure how it’ll be for transfers. If it said you find out before, then you’ll most likely will. The August thing is for Frosh only i guess.</p>
