roots vs. words

Hey guys so I am studying like a madman for the SAT and I really would like to get a good score.

I noticed that there are A LOT of lists for the SAT for words you 'should' know so my question is:

is it worth it to learn Greek and Latin roots (ie: pre = before and stuff like that).

Any ideas?

You’ll learn those automatically as you learn the words.

oh, kk then I shall pay special attention to the connections I make inside my head lol, thanks.

As meteman said, frequent exposure to certain types of words will enable you to learn the word roots as you go along, though it doesn’t hurt to also study the Latin and Greek word origins. A combination of both is most likely your best option.
