All things being equal, would you rather attend UMich Ross or McDonough? As a top student, do you think my employment opportunities will be hindered more at one school or another? I know the rankings list UMich at ~3rd and McDonough ~11...but the number of students hired by Goldman and other top companies is approximately the same--as are starting salaries. Any thoughts?

McDonough puts a ridiculous amount of kids into investment banking... a lot of times they are the most represented school for an analyst class.

Either school is great

being a student at ross, i would definitely have preferred to go to mcdonough. the business program has been going through a lot of changes in the curriculum, and it has gotten pretty annoying. georgetown is also a better overall school although the business program at michigan is ranked higher.

rankings don't mean **** for IB, McDonough is very well represented, I would go with Gtown.

If you change your mind and start thinking management or management consulting, you should go to Ross. It is much better than McDonough in that respect if you lose the desire to do IBD.
