Okay so I've been working on my Ross essay where I am discussing a particular project or organization I want to begin....however, after a bit of reserach I realized that another similar organization already exists!

Is this bad? Idk if i should change it now or what...

I’d prefer to do that as well. However, the question specifically asks:

Assume you would like to start an organization
or project in your community
right now to accomplish a particular goal.
Describe your organization or project,
briefly identify why it is important to you,
and explain the steps you would take to
start it. 2) How, specifically, might your
education at U-M and the Ross School
of Business affect your approach to the
same project if you were to start it after
you graduated from college?

Since, it’s hypothetical what should I do? Is it okay if my “idea” already exists but I personalize it somewhat? I’d imagine it be rather difficult to come up with something entirely innovative…it’s bound to have been done somewhere before
