Soooo I’ll be doing a Rotary Summer Exchange for a month this up-coming summer break. Is an activity like this somewhat respectable and admirable by colleges? I mean, I’m doing it anyways because I love Spanish (third language), but I’m just curious if it will have any “weight” per say in my application decision. (Should I mention I’m going for a Spanish minor?)
Most colleges truly appreciate a global perspective, so a mention of your experience in you application, essay, or in an interview may make you stand out. Just make sure to learn about the culture and grow as a person, so that you may easily describe the experience as life-changing or eye-opening.
