I have a question about ROTC. Can someone who has a bachelor’s degree, do ROTC while pursing an associate degree in
engineering or nursing.
If you already have your bachelors and wish to become an officer, I believe ROTC route is closed. You might have to consult a reputable Army recruiter to see what other options lie before you. Good luck
Maybe. You can’t for Air Force ROTC - you have to have at least 3 years left in a four-year program to enroll. But Army and Navy don’t have those requirements, and I know the Navy ROTC detachment at my university accepted graduate students.
But if you already have a bachelor’s degree, why would you get an associate’s degree in either of those fields? You can get a second bachelor’s in the same amount of time or less. An accelerated BSN would take you 14-18 months if you have the right prerequisites (which are the same ones you would have to take for an associate’s degree in nursing). Even if you transferred into a traditional non-accelerated BSN program it would still only take you two years. A second bachelor’s in engineering would probably take you 2-2.5 years.
Then you could go into the military through OCS/direct commission, especially if you got the BSN.
Based on your posting history, you seem intent on becoming an officer. That’s fine. But like juillet says, look for OCS/direct commission rather than try to drape ROTC over more (and possibly unneeded) schooling.
