rowing?

Does anyone have any information about the crew program at Colby? DS is a freshman and has been rowing for a while now. Looking ahead to small, liberal arts schools with a solid rowing rep. He's an A/B student, strong interest in majoring in studio art- which looks impressive at Colby. TIA.

Look at Skidmore, too.

Probably already looked here, but you never know, heh:

^^Thanks, werd, I did, and it looks great. I’m just wondering how big rowing is at Colby- the art program seems good and he’s interested. Is crew a big part of athletics there, or just a sideline thing, more of an IM or rec program? thanks-

Colby Crew is pretty popular, a solid program, and definitely a well-funded sport. I had many, many friends who rowed when I was at Colby.

i am a high school senior who rows who also happens to be looking at colby. colbys rowing program is division III and because the coach coaches the male and female teams practice is every other day, which is really nice, given u will want some spare time in college

thanks- ya’ll are great to answer. jpr, great point!!! academics first, for sure!
