Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there no other essay except the default Common App Essay?

And it seems odd - only one recommendation required, but they'll take up to three teacher recommendations and three non-teacher recommendations? Do most people feel like three recommendations total is a good idea?

Finally - what are people putting for a resume? I'm assuming it is a more detailed list of activities, relating them to honors as appropriate. It's not like my son has a full resume, other than for the sport he plays.

Not an answer, but another question: It doesn’t matter if the writing supplement is still pending, right? I didn’t feel the need to upload a resume, but the yellow circle is quite an annoyance.

I have the exact same question. My son decided not to do a resume - but it looks like he can’t “completely” submit without it! I think I’ll have him email admissions about it.

There is no choice to say “no thank you, I won’t submit it”.

I emailed admissions - no problem on the “incomplete Writing Supplement” - the CA is complete without it when the CA was submitted. They won’t be waiting for the Writing Supplement.

@rhandco we toured RPI and attended the admissions presentation. The presenter made it clear that 1 LOR is truly all that is needed. I assume if you submit two, they will read both.

@rhandco haha I emailed admissions as well! great minds think alike “Your application will go through. We do not require the resume so you will be all set. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.”
