Yeah you don’t have to submit the essays online.

+1 for Southern California! Good luck everyone.

Lets make a list for where everyone is from.

1- South Cal
1- MD

Copy and add on.

On a side note, are you guys including achievements that don’t relate to science/math?

+1 CT! woot

+1 TN

@Bioboy, maybe some in #6.

1- South Cal
1- MD
1-CT
1-TN
1-IN

I wrote a lot about my nonacademic acheivments, but that was because I had a lot of nonacademic acheivments. I say that you should include the any acheivments that are impressive, academic or not.

Thanks for your response. I just don’t know what would be considered impressive or not, and I don’t want to seem like I’m “padding”.

Would scoring in the top 25% percentile for a National French Exam seem impressive? Not really to me, but I want to see if I can get some other opinions…

EDIT:

Also, (I’m sure this is a question a lot of us have) how different are your overall research fields? I don’t want to pick something too similar, but I’m not sure how different they have to be…

The application says that the two fields shouldn’t be of the same discipline so do biochemistry and molecular biology count as the same discipline?

does anyone know how to uncheck the bubbles next to all the courses like calculus and physics? it’s only letting me move the check over…

@freshman11, only if to be very cautious, I would say yes they do.

Guys, what does administrative title mean, for the principle?

I was unable to get my test scores and transcript from my school until tomorrow, when we come back from winter break. I live in WA, so I’m worried that if my school sends them, then they won’t arrive on time. As long as the stuff is in a sealed envelope, is it alright if I send them myself?

@sadface- I just put Mr.

Oh yeah, about printing: I haven’t submitted yet, but I will soon (probably tonight). Should I print beforehand or after submitting? Which formatting is better?

Print before. The formating after submiting is terrible.

@ntennis

There was a discussion on this a few pages back…dig through this thread. If not, look in last year’s thread because I def. remember seeing something about that…

@sadface

I just put “Principal” haha… xD

@InfinityFlat

I’m not sure…you might want to email the RSI people pronto…usually they’re good about responding within a day. So if they respond that you can by tomorrow, you have one-day priority shipping to rely on.

Also everyone, use UPS for the one-day shipping, NOT USPS.

I saw a discussion on one of the previous RSI threads that stated that USPS has a 30% fail rate for one-day shipping. Not sure if this is true, but I’m going to play it safe and use UPS.

I printed beforehand and it doesn’t even print correctly. Everything past the first two pages is a jumble.

@InfinitlyFlat, yes that is alright. I emailed them.

@ntennis @bioboy: Even if you uncheck the bubbles with JavaScript, they will still come back after you save.

As for printing beforehand, Apple Safari seems to have no problem with the layout.
