Runner chances of admission!

Hi I am a sophomore in high school peaking around at colleges I am interested in. I have a 3.96 unweighted gpa and a 5.93 weighted gpa as all of my classes are honors except the required ones such as gym and art. Next year I will be taking AP English and AP US History. I plan on getting a tutor for the SAT so I can score very well, too. I think my main selling point is that I am a good distance runner. I usually run between 5:15 and 5:20 in the mile but I can also go all the way down and run a 28 in the 200. I have never run cross country in highschool but I would, of course, if it would help me. I was wondering how much that may increase my chances of getting in or help me in admissions. It is early but once I visit most of my schools this summer I think I will still know Middlebury is my top. Also, I would definitely apply ED if I was truly confident in my love for this school. Some other points are that I could be a top competitor in college soccer and college tennis. Hope someone can help, thank you! If there is anything you could recommend to me about improving my application in the future I would really appreciate it.

Hi, are you male or female? Middlebury’s women’s cross-country team is one of the best in division III and has won multiple national championships. If you’re a strong female runner, I imagine it would help a lot. Good luck!

To clarify, yes I am a female which is what really attracts me to the program!
