I want to rush for spring recruitment as a senior. Is it unusual that seniors rush there last semester? And do they get laughed at for doing so? I missed fall rush so I don't have any other options than to rush in the spring.

You’re going to be paying for pharmacy school and you want to rush and pay for the sororities? I don’t think you would be able to participate in much as a senior.

It’s unusual, but still a possibility. This is not unusual in some sororities with very strong alumnae organizations. You would essentially go through rush and join the college chapter to be a lifelong member after graduation (barely anytime to contribute to the college chapter in one semester). No one is going to laugh, but be prepared to answer why you are rushing at this late date and what you would contribute. Your chances of getting a bid depends on the Greek life at your particular school and the number of positions they are allowed to take in rush. I think a chapter would be concerned about making a bid to a last semester senior if they have a limited number of bids allowed and need to grow the chapter.

Were you/are in a sorority? My reason for not joining earlier was to focus on my studies and having a stable internship. I planned to rush in the fall, but I was late in registering/out of town that weekend. So my only option is to rush in the spring or not rush at all and miss the experience. What do you think I should do?

I think I can get a lot out of the sorority if I commit to it that semester. What do you think?
