I was told to be sure that my scores are "rushed" for ED consideration...
Do you request this from CB? How does it work

go to collegeboard.com and click on "send my scores" in your score report. of course, i think that they had to have already scored your test.

I thought the last testing date for most ED's was in Oct.

SAT Rush Reporting

Call your school and find out if they need rushed scores. Many schools won't even accept rushed scores.

It's also a fallacy that rushed scores will get to your school earlier. College Board sends all scores electronically to each school in a "batch" on a regular schedule, set up by the school. The school downloads the scores and puts them in the correct electronic file for each student. Generally, this process is automated, and no one has to touch the scores until they're properly filed. Rushed scores, on the other hand, are sent individually via snail mail, in with all the paper applications, teacher recommendations, high school reports, etc. Someone has to get to those scores, open them individually, enter them into the computer by hand, and put them in your file by hand.

Which do you think will get to your file first?

Chedva makes a good point. My daughter took the Oct 6 SAT and her schools reported receiving score reports on Oct 26 and Oct 29 without rush reporting (They were available for students on the web Oct 24.) Paper mailing didn't begin till November 2.

When you said "I was told to be sure that my scores are 'rushed' for ED consideration" I assumed that your target school told you this. If they didn't you should check with them for advice.
