ackattak- you look like you are in good shape and the only thing that is standing in your way is that you are out of state. If you can bring you ACT to 30-31 and take AP classes with good GPA then you are good. Are you parents educated? If not, that will be to your advantage. Get busy in the summer with volunteer work or a job or even a course a community college. My son started tutoring kids in church by placing ads in church. Rutgers Pharmacy is highly competitive so good luck to you, keep up the good work and never loose faith.

My son got accepted to Arts and Sciences last month and to the Business school a couple of days ago.
1810 SAT
3.1 GPA all honors classes for 4 years
Good luck to those still waiting:)

I GOT IN!! I was so surprised, I even ended up crying.
I think I have the lowest stats here…
GPA: 2.69
SAT: 1770 (630 Math, 640 Writing, 500 CR)
13 honors classes
I did the essay all by myself, no revisions… I talked about my depression over the years.
Few dedicated E.C.'s, few honors
In-State

accepted to the business school about two months ago…someone make a Facebook group, I need a roommate! :))

there is already one! https://www.facebook.com/RU2016

Angelface- Congratulations on your acceptance!! I’m happy for you:)

Accepted finally (SAS and SEBS). My stats were SUPER low but my extracurricular was pretty well and my sister is an allumni.

Can’t wait to meet you lovely peoplee!!(:

Accepted:

GPA 3.9

SAT: 1390

Got into school of A&S. Waiting to hear about honors/merit $. Have heard rumors about housing problems…too many admitted students accepting and then students have to be housed at Rutgers - Newark. Has any heard this?

Stats:

GPA 3.7
Rank: 46/625
SAT 2080

Son was accepted into SAS with mixed stats - I’m not sure what his effective g.p.a. was, but I know it was under 3.0 (from respected private school, though); SAT super-score: 2070; ACT combined: 27; solid extracurriculars, centered on theater; in-state; also auditioning for Mason Gross for BFA in acting.

Stilll haven’t heard anything about scholarships…

Really late, haha, but applied 11/30, accepted 12/6 (Into NB Engineering, SAS, and Newark SAS, going to SOE )
Stats; 21/380 class, 3.8 UW, 4.4 W, plenty of Honors, 4 APs, 1770 SATS (540 Reading, 700 Math, 530 Writing). A good amount of EC’s as well.
Already accepted admittance, see you all going there eventually!

My son was accepted in SAS in December with Presidential scholarship.
His stats are:
ACT: 34
SAT: 2290 on one test
GPA: 4.0

He doesn’t want to go. Not sure how to convince him. Any suggestions?

Why doesn’t he want to go? Any particular reason?

He thinks it’s too big. He wants to go to an Ivy. Didn’t get any responses yet, so it might not even be an option. But in todays economy to pay 60k/year for a college is just crazy, especially considering he’s planning to go to med school.

My S2 has the same issue and viewpoint. I am guessing that the ivy my S2 wants is a long shot in any case, so I am not too concerned about it at this point. When decisions come in, that is when he really has to make a choice. Until then I’m not worrying about it.

If my son planned on going to medical school, I think I would strongly suggest the free option, but again, I would wait until all decisions are in so you can see what the options are. The decision might be made for him and then you won’t be the mean guy.

momworried, even though Rutgers is big, once you make friends, you can stay with them only. It ends up not feeling that big at all after a little while. All you have to do is get used to it, which honestly doesn’t take too long.

I got into Rutgers. when are they having a preview day? i wanna go for a tour and everything before i decide. just found out today when i called them.

Hey guys I want to apply next year for pharmacy 0-6… so estimate what stats you need?

BTW, whats is sas, css, and all those other code names lol. Also, what is the pharmacy one called?

Thanks alot guys!
