Rutgers Class of 2023 (New Brunswick)

EA deadline for Rutgers was 11/1 but you had until 11/15 to get the supporting materials in - but the application itself had to be submitted by the deadline.

@spqr70nj thank you for the informationā€¦guess I will be waiting one more monthā€¦

@spqr70nj Same here - ridiculous. Rutgers is a ā€œNoā€ as far as we are concerned. So few get off the waitlist, itā€™s not even worth thinking about. Fortunately, we have other great options. Just disappointed that we have waited this longā€¦

My sonā€™s still shows In process for NB RBS. Anybody who were asked to update SRAR got accepted?

I really donā€™t understand Rutgers. Iā€™m really frustrated right now.

Congrats to those admitted to Rutgers NB and best wishes for those waiting. Those who are admitted please join the group ā€œRutgers (New Brunswick) Class of 2023 (Accepted Students)ā€ for valuable information sharing.

that is what I originally thought, but they seem to have received everything and I had people from my class who had applied regular decision receive their decision mid - December

@calnji2023 ^

@mn1337 RU seems to really have no rhyme or reason with their admissions. Some people (usually high-stat applicants) are hearing back a few weeks after they apply, meanwhile I applied in early September and just heard back last night (almost 5 months of anxiously waiting lol). Hang in there! Only 4 weeks left!

My daughter applied for the Rutgers Arts and Sciences program, the Biological Sciences program, and the Rutgerā€™s Business School, around the beginning of October. She still has not received her decision for SAS and SEBS, and on her Rutgerā€™s Portal it says ā€œ7th Semester Grades Required.ā€ She also got waitlisted from the Rutgers Business School which does not make any sense because her stats were relatively high, and so were the stats of her fellow peers, high as well. How is Rutgers basing their decisions process this year because many students have been getting waitlisted even with really good stats which does not make any sense. If they wanted to waitlist/reject students, why wait till the end of January or make students wait even later just to tell them that, especially if these students applied early; this is absolutely ridiculous. After calling into admissions, they are now saying that my daughterā€™s final decision for SAS and SEBS will be considered in the RD round after she submits her 7th Semester grades. Her 7th Semester grades are definitely fine, however, based on the recent stats of students and hearing that so many children are being waitlisted/rejected, I am a bit worried now with as to what the final result will actually be.

My son was accepted to Rutgers Newark before he even had the first HLLC interview. He didnā€™t make it to the second round, but it really wasnā€™t his thing anyway. Good luck!

My sonā€™s portal was just updated a minute ago. Waitlisted for SAS? Received waitlist for Business the other night. Oh well. Good luck everyone.

What does interview required mean?

I got waitlisted for EMSOP :frowning:

Didnā€™t get into RBS like i had hoped but still in process for SAS so hopefully i get in there and can do an internal transfer.

Not trying to discourage you, Heard internal transfer into SOE or RBS is difficult, I heard.

Found out last night my son wasnā€™t accepted to RBS-NB. However, he got into RBS-Newark, which was his first choice anyway. Looks like Iā€™ll not only be a Rutgers alum, but a Rutgers mom too! Good luck to those of you who are still waiting!

I was looking at placement tests for admitted students. Is it required for world language too like Spanish for Computer Science major (SAS)?

Yes i understand there is a foreign Language test for SAS
