@Sourpatches45 I believe that honors notifications and merit scholarships come out in mid-February.
Honors notifications come out mid February but merit scholarships come out a couple weeks after honors notifications. I didn’t get an email for my merit scholarship while most other people did so make sure to check this link https://finservices.rutgers.edu/faaward/letter/faaward.htm when it reaches that time
I think we are going to put down an enrollment deposit for Camden. NB is a bit of a reach, and I don’t want to lose the chance for D to get housing at Camden. I was told once housing opens, you have to act immediately. And with the Bridging the Gap program, Camden will be her best option for getting through undergrad without loans.
I wouldn’t worry about completing testing within 30 days. My daughter was accepted last year and there is plenty of time to complete testing. It’s still on the early side to commit. The main advantage of committing early is that it increases your chances of getting the campus you want for housing.
@MThopeful2022 Rutgers New Bruinswick(Main campus)
Is it invitation only to be considered for HC? My son was accepted to the College of Engineering at Rutgers NB. To my knowledge he didn’t receive an invitation. Are applicants automatically considered?
Thanks for any info!
@Lastson4 You are automatically considered so long as you submitted the application by Nov 1 (or whenever the early application date was). In mid February you will get an email with any honors (including program and honors college) that you may have received for each school. If you don’t get an email you didn’t get honors academy or honors college at any school
Friday, January 31st for sure. The decisions usually come out on a Friday so January 24th could also be a possibility.
Do we send in our mid year grades
Anyone else applied EA and didn’t hear back? I applied to SAS and RBS, both New Brunswick! I also applied to RBS Newark and heard back within two days. This is so weird though, I’m scared I’m going to be rejected ;(
Got into the School of Engineering at Rutgers - New Brunswick for Electrical and Computer Engineering. It’s currently my best option, but I’m still waiting for all my March decisions, so we’ll see.
I’m in the same boat as you. I applied EA into SAS for New Brunswick and still haven’t heard back. I’m assuming they’re waiting for the first wave of people they accepted to decline Rutgers as an option so they can give out acceptances to the applicants still left in the 2nd/3rd waves who will most likely go to Rutgers.
same i applied ea for sas and havent heard back. all my friends applied rd for different colleges and heard back already so im getting really nervous
Yes. Many of my friends who applied to Rutgers NB for any of the schools for Regular Decision have also already found out their decisions. Applying Early Action really didn’t provide EA applicants any benefits compared to Regular Decision if RD applicants heard back earlier than EA applicants, which is rather odd as most EA applicants always hear their decisions before RD applicants.
My stats:
1240 SAT
3.39 uw (5.3 scale)

thoughts on me getting into rut nb sas or bs?
Happy to say that I finally received an acceptance letter from Rutgers NB, SAS! I received my email around 11 am on Friday morning! Good luck to all, don’t lose hope!
oooh
I applied to Rutgers SAS- NB , SEBS, Newark arts and sciences. I still havent recieved a response yet , so hopefully on the thrid wave. I got into 5 schools already, havent been rejected thank god. Waiting on 3 more, INCLUDING rutgers. I havent heard of any rejections as of now…
@hijadynsmom my DS OOS got in to SAS with a lower weighted GPA (3.5, mostly honors/AP and 4’s and 5’s on AP exams), and a slightly higher SAT (1330 combined). I would guess you have a reasonable chance.
This is kind of last minute but filling out the application I don’t remember seeing anywhere that said apply for ED or RD. I sent it in end of October, so does that mean they take it as an ED app?
