Rutgers Fall 2018 Decisions

@DPCASEY stats plz?

2.9 GPA. APPLIED AROUND JAN?

Applied regular decision on 11/9, updated midyear grades on 2/26 per request and still waiting on a decision from NB.

Anyone sign up for the admitted students open house and received an email with the schedule yet?

I’m going to the one on Friday.

QUESTION: Can parents go to admitted students day or is it exclusively for the student? (Rutgers-Newark)

parents can too, just make sure you put down the number of total attendees.

OOS was accepted to Rutgers CS in NB Newark and Camden…Camden is the only one the gave Gift aid 23K which is great but being OOS don’t know area well. What is preferred campus?

@Cmada38 i hope you are aware that camdens rank is lower than that of newark or new brunswick

@hamstargaming …lower rank for CS Major or just in general??? I did hear its more of commuter campus would that be right???

I applied and was accepted to SAS and SEBS but received no scholarship (only a $2k Assistance Grant, TAG, and Pell Grant). I have a 3.7 GPA and 1290 SAT score and thought that I would qualify for some sort of scholarship, am I wrong?

@Cmada38 - go to NB.

@lemmesleep are you in State? They don’t give a lot of merit money in state, it’s mostly financially driven.

@blueskies2day Yeah I am. Do you know if there is anyway to appeal this and ask for more since I have an EFC of $0

@cmada38 go to whichever is most financially feasible. This is just my opinion: NB is an exceptional school, but certainly not worth debt. if Camden is offering more money and you personally like it then I don’t see an issue. The city is situated next to Philly, which is a huge PRO for internships and job opportunities. Camden has it’s issues but then again, what city doesn’t?

@Cmada38 Go to New Brunswick you will not regret it! It is the flagship campus and you will genuinely enjoy your 4 years. Even though you may incur debt (I am too) The Opportunites are a lot better and NB CS is a highly ranked program as well.
