Hi, everyone! I’m waiting on Rutgers NB SAS and Rutgers Newark. I got accepted to Camden already. I know the website says that no admissions updates will happen until after Jan. 1 but just wanted to let everyone know that a few of my friends got acceptance letters in the mail today to their surprise, so be alert!
@seekerofentrance for EA or RD? and what state?
In-state and EA.
@seekerofentrance were those letters just acceptance or did they include financial aid? I know that the intended date for financial packages isn’t until later but was curious if they were rolling out a bit earlier.
Acceptance letters but no financial aid packages yet
Did they already get a decision online and this was a follow-up acceptance letter they received in the mail?
I know for one of them they had trouble with the online status checker, but they received an acceptance nonetheless.
I’m out of state, did the people who acceptance letters get an update online too?
The others did besides the one who had online complications. But don’t stress about it. I think everyone should have a decision by the end of January if not sooner.
Accepted to Rutgers Camden School of Arts and Sciences. GPA wasn’t the highest, although I took a couple AP classes and my SAT scores were above average. Still waiting on NB. Best of luck to everybody!
and Newark.
Rutgers results today maybe?
Disclaimer - This is based on what I heard from various sources and in no way can confirm the authenticity of this
I heard that the people who did not get their decision yet were not accepted by the first admission officer who read their application. Therefore it is likely that all those who didn’t get accepted yet are under secondary review by another officer
TAKE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. GOOD LUCK
Also one guy in my class claimed that he was deferred ( Cant say if he was lying or not )
@dgary10990 I’d be very surprised if thats the case. I’m still In Process, but nobody in the history of my high school has been denied to Newark or NB A&S with the same stats as me. Hope I didn’t jinx myself, but I doubt it.
That is evidently false. Considering the deadline for supplemental items and application was less than a month ago, there is no way one admissions officer has gone through all the applications already. Rutgers is a big school as well.
From what I heard (Not 100% sure)
Everyone is run through a computer system that looks only at your stats, if they were high enough you were already accepted. I think if your in process like me they will review your application and read your essay and ECs before making a decision.
But one of my friend got into NB on 20 December. His SAT is around 1150, and WGPA is 3.1 out of 6. His stats are below the avg
Which means what swiftie said more than likely isn’t true as well. This is quite confusing, hopefully someone comes and clears it up for us.
Im sorry If I confused people thats what I heard from my guidance counselor.
