I wish I new about the joint programs earlier, but I’m enrolled in Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences. I’m planning to complete the prerequisites there and then transfer.
Will this be good for first fall semester:
Precalculus (4 credits)
General Chemistry (4 credits)
100 Basic Composition (3 credits)
Humanities elective(3 credits)
Intro. To Microeconomics (3 credits)
Total: 17 CREDITS
Do you have a pre-health advisor? Any advisor?
There are advisors st Rutgers but I don’t know my individual advisor.
@flowerrocks Seems like you’re on the right track. Make sure to get Calculus and a Biology class in in the spring. Once you get to Rutgers, talk to your advisor there to make sure everything is lined up.
Thanks @TheDidactic. Are you a pharmacy student from Rutgers or any other school?
Technically at a smaller university right now which has an articulation agreement for automatic admission out of high school with Rutgers Pharmacy School. So both!
Oh that’s great @TheDidactic. Is it like the 3+4 joint program where you spend 3 years at another university and then you transfer to Rutgers pharmacy school and get bachelors as well?
It’s a dual degree 2+4 program with the option of me doing 3+4 if I don’t want it as accelerated, yes.
Oh that’s great. I thought only Rutgers Newark offers 2+4 program or else I would’ve done what you are doing.
I pan to transfer to the Rutgers pharmacy school after 2 years, which will be the spring of 2018. I have to take the PCAT as well but I don’t know when. I bought 2 study books online and it will be shipped soon. Should I take this exam on October 2017 and January 2018? This would mean I would have to take it twice, or should I take it just once, which would be January 2018? Please help. Thanks. I know that if I have a GPA of 3.7-3.9, I would need a PCAT of around 80th percentile or higher, and if I have a low GPA, I would need a PCAT of at least 90th percentile or higher. Rutgers pharmacy school says that there’s no bias against taking the test more than once, but the best score will be considered. I’m not really good with standardized exams, as you can see since I am not in the pharmacy school because of this. My SAT was 1600, which is too low for this school. Should I take the exam once after studying really hard, or twice but with less time to study for the second one?
