See above. IMO, there is nothing weird about timing and release of decisions considering the sheer volume, it being a pandemic year, and other schools releasing admissions decisions even later than Rutgers.

I find it weird that they just deferred all the EA applicants who didnāt have a decision yet by the 15th. They did not say anything about this, so we were left to try and figure out what the reason was ourselves. As I said, itās now difficult to figure out who is ACTUALLY deferred.
Many schools have. Ivies, Rochester Institute of Technology are ones I have read about or been informed by admissions. Remember that many students took a gap year because of Covid. I would imagine that Rutgers may be seeing an increase of in state applicants hoping to get into the HC so that they can stay closer to home. That may be why EAs have been deferred and they are in the pool withe the RD applicants. We have the same degree of frustration waiting on another school for our kid, but we are biding our time and hoping things are clarified by mid-March.

Is it hard to get merit scholarship from Rutgers NB? I think they only look at gpa, rank and SATā¦
It doesnāt say anything about honors in my sonās portal though. Probably, we just need to wait for a few more days.
My oldest got nothing, my 19 year old was offered $5000 two years ago.

I love the East Coast! Also, they have an exercise science program with the opprotunity for a 3+3 DPT program! Also, I believe in a nice change in scenery.

You will love NJ! Know many people from California who love NJ. RU Menās Basketball player Myles Johnson (and a computer engineering major) went to HS in Long Beach, California. He loves Rutgers. Rutgers athletics are on a major upswing, and athletics are a fun part of the Rutgers experience. Best of luck to you!!!
