S can't wait to get back to campus

My rising second year is dying to go back to campus. counting days when the till the day fall quarter starts.

I guess this is a really good thing. He is very happy there and loves the school.

Or, could it be the daily beating he had to endure all through the summer at the hands of his evil abusive parents :)

But seriously, he says to H and me "I love you guys, I love this family, and I love the summer internship I have, but I am so dying to get back.

At least you don’t have an awful, thankless daughter who decided to stay in Chicago for the summer after her first year. (I am that daughter, haha.) T-minus 8 days until I move in!!

After being away for more than 3 months they are going to be surprised at the progress of the glass dome on the Mansueto Library.

Move back in day not getting here fast enough for fourth year Sapling.

S1 is lucky (not us :frowning: ). He moved off campus in June, got to stay all summer doing an internship at the school, and is all set up and ready waiting for the University to come alive during O-Week.

Ditto. The newly developing autumn weather is enough to bring nostalgia for fall quarter. Probably my last fall quarter, I might add, which makes it particularly poignant. It’s going to be difficult picking any other university over Chicago for graduate school, regardless of any desire for variety.

D (rising 4th year) is not looking forward to returning (though she spent the summer in Chicago)…because it means she’s almost finished :)

I’m a rising second year who has been dying a slow death at home all summer. Haha, moving in two weeks from today, but these two weeks are going to feel like an eternity and a half. Hope the incoming first-years enjoy their O-week!
