Oh. And we are in the beginning of alphabet and in state. Sooooooo, not getting a great feeling
Don’t worry - I was just hypothesizing about alphabet to make myself feel better since we are at the end. I have no idea what order they are sending them out.
Hugs to you and your D. This whole process is crazy enough - COVID makes it that much worse.
Stalking the mailman and today of all days we got a SHU marketing booklet in the mail. Close, but no…
dont think it goes my alphabetical order because my last name begins with p and I was among the first ones to get it, at least at my school
What were your guy’s stats?

Thank god mail finally came - admitted to DPT program/Bio major. Presidential Excellence Scholarship (17.5k), Honors Program (2k) and Dance Program participation grant (2.5k). My daughter is over the moon, as this is her top choice. Good luck to everyone, hope you get good news!
The mail came in today and I got into NURSING! Very excited! I received the Presidential Excellence award of $16,000. I’m from instate.
Congratulations. My D is hoping for the same. We are in CT also. Anxiously stalking the mailman
Congrats all. Whats the max merit offered?
My daughter just got her acceptance letter today. Admitted to OT program - Exercise Science major. She received the Presidential Excellence Award for $17,500, invitation to the Honors Program and a $2,000 award and a Dance Program participation grant for $2,500.
Congrats and same for my daughter on all, except she is PT and Bio. Her dance company audition is coming up too!
Class of '24 here. For non-athletes, max merit is usually $17,500, and then $2,000 for honors. Honors really easy, so if you/your student gets accepted into the honors program, definitely accept the money.
Packet came today and I am a little mystified. The letter asked him to set up an interview and said that after the interview, he would be notified of a final decision. A second letter in the packet said that the Scholarship Committee had determined that he would get a merit award of $11,000 per year.
So, are they just gauging interest and trying to protect yield? It seems like not exactly a deferral. Anyone else get this?
It’s my understanding that they weren’t going to offer acceptance to those that did not visit campus or at minimum attend a virtual open house. Other schools are doing the same. I think they feel so many students applied to more schools this year due to covid and they want to see who is serious about considering attending and not just throwing a big net out there.
My older son got same type of letter two years ago. He visited and received acceptance three days later.
You were right. He did a virtual interview and got an acceptance. Hoping we can visit in Spring. Just need CT to get out of high risk category. (Right now, per our HS, only Hawaii is safe!)
Congrats!!!
Does anyone know when financial aid is sent out on mySHU awards? I received my merit scholarship in a letter a couple weeks ago but no FASFA yet, just trying to gage a time frame.
Congrats!
