<p>Same reason as well here Blue, I don’t critiscize stuff unless I’ve personally experienced it. Of course it is fun to mock Twilight in front of the girls who have fallen unconditionally and irrevocably in love with it, which is why I read it.</p>

<p>I don’t understand why they love it so much: i’ve read better vampire books, better writen books, better romance books, better books staring a Mary!sue, better teenage angst books and far better ‘love scenes’ if they like that. I don’t understand the appeal?</p>

<p>Twilight… I read those books in sixth grade when they first came out and I thought they were poorly written and then all of the sudden crazy fan girls who have only seen the movies are slobbering over Robert Pattinson and his hairy paleness. I don’t understand it…</p>

<p>Nice link. Totally agree with it. Any of you read Southern Vampire Mysterys? My sister recced it to me and I enjoyed it.
I’m glad you appreciate my wit, for some reason the recipents often don’t. Had to talk my way out of a few…explosive…situations. Apparently Queen Bees don’t like being informed that you aren’t staring at them and that believe it or not the world doesn’t revolve around them, that’s the sun.</p>

<p>Hi, still a newbie… Although my hatred towards twilight is comparably not that extreme, I find girls gossiping about ‘robpatt’ (their abbreviation for their beloved robert pattinson) and whoever the actor of that werewolf (whom I secretly think as an under-evolutionized ‘primitive man’) are absolutely pathetic to my own disbelief. I dont have secret grudge against the books themselves, seeing that I never read them, but I do know that screaming ‘bite me!’ is beyond ridiculous…</p>

<p>I’m newish (as in I don’t post much, I usually don’t have any reason) and this is my second year applyng. Last year I applied to four schools, got rejected to three, waitlisted to one and never got in off that. </p>

<p>At first, it was tough, I mean you spend an entire year working so hard at something, putting so much into it, but in the end it all just doesn’t happen. But that’s life, and yes I cried but I only allowed myself a single day of mourning over the loss of such a dream. But I had to move on, and I did. That’s when I decided I would re-apply the next year, that it was worth it. So here I am now, and actually it seems to have worked out. Shockingly enough I really have been enjoying my year here at the public school I’m at now. Everything happens for a reason so maybe I just wasn’t ready yet for prep school. Who knows?</p>

<p>Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that yes, getting rejected sucks. Hah, getting rejected three (and a half times if you count the waitlisting) times sucks even more, but it really is all the initial shock, and like most things, goes away quickly. It is survivable, and if anything it gives you a chance to grow stronger.</p>

<p>If he (a real vampire) was to actually bite them they’d either A) Die a painful death or B) in the highly unlikely event they were ‘turned’ they’d get to kill fellow humans and drink their blood while never ever being able to talk to their family or friends ever again…for eternity. Either they don’t think stuff through or they have a couple of screws loose and need mental help… Just my humble opinion</p>

<p>If I were to have a nickle for every time I heard a girl obsessing over RP or gazing longingly at his poster, I wouldn’t need FA.</p>

<p>EDIT:Just saw Rads post. I agree RP was actually mildly attractive as Diggory in a goodie-goodie way. Edward just looked constipated with a bad make up day. </p>
