I have created a large list of reach schools I’m going to apply to but I haven’t been able to find safety schools that would be a good fit. I’m interested in pre-Med, don’t want to be in the center of a city. Suburbs/rural is fine.
My stats are 3.942 / 4.275 (unweighted/ weighted)
Sat 1470
class rank top 10 percent.
I need schools that I could for sure get into which would have good pre-Med opportunities. My safeties so far are UW and Allegheny college.
Any help or recommendations are greatly appreciated
Allegheny is on the Colleges That Change Lives List, which might be a good place to look for more safeties. Several of them would work well as academic and financial safeties for top students.
University of Washington, financial situation is mediocre, my parents can pay but ideally they won’t have to fork over too much cash because I’m planning on going to med school, any recommendations? thanks
That is not very specific. Will your parents pay $60K/year? Or are you looking for someplace that will offer some merit aid? Or more for state schools that aren’t too expensive for OOS tuition? You might look at WUE schools like University of Oregon (assume you are a WA resident).
“Good pre-med opportunities” is nebulous. Most schools will be fine for pre-med. You need strong grades, strong MCAT scores, and ideally some kind of experience volunteering or working part time in a medical setting (which you can get in the summer, or some students take a gap year after college to gain). A low cost option makes a lot of sense, as med school is expensive.
With those stats and you want the best need-based financial aid, you should look at Grinnell, Vassar, Haverford, Bates. They aren’t safeties per se but they would have great FA based on need. If you’re male, and from Washington, Vassar would give you a solid look IMO. Also Hobart and William Smith would be a safety and has a scholarship and has great premed with a reserved slot in a med school for a candidate. With your stats Muhlenberg would be a def safety, has great premed, and they’d probably throw merit aid at you.
Also, be sure to read the premed threads on CC. They are very informative about what constitutes a “good” premed “program” (as it’s not a major) and info about what happens when you mess up a course, etc.
St. Lawrence would be likely to recognize you with some form of merit scholarship. This could be a nice choice irrespective of financial considerations. Denison might be good option as well.

since you’re too late to apply to Alabama for their full tuition merit, I would strongly suggest that you apply to UAB. You will get at least full tuition.
Also look into their Science & Technology Honors program.
The UAB med school is right there as well, plus several hospitals are right there.
