My HS Sophomore daughter, who as expressed an interest in pursuing a career in Interior Design, is enrolled this fall at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Early College Program. She's auditing the following class offering:

Course Description

If anyone has an opinion on the program in general and this particular offering in particular, I would be glad to hear it. She has a portfolio that has never been reviewed, and I understand that one of the things done is to offer portfolio reviews, and advice. Thanks for any input you might have.

Don’t know Fall program. my D participated Summer Pre-college for three weeks. She loves it so much. Without that I don’t think she can get in Cooper.
Hope is help.

Thank you LoveBlue. It does help. Are these types of pre-college courses heavily weighted during the admissions process? I’m hoping they give my daughter a good idea of what her desired area of study is like, and how well she matches up with other like-minded people.

I don’t think the program get any weight in the admission, bit it helped my D to open her mind and get some good pieces in her portfolio.
Two from her class get in Cooper. One is a year early than her. She is in Painting class in SAIC pre-college summer program.
