Found an article about deferred acceptance from 2013.

SCU received 4,400 Early Action applications and admitted about half and deferred about 1/3. Students who were deferred are asked for 7th semester grades to be reported. "Historically, to those who accept an offer of deferral (about 40%), one-third will end up being admitted, " said Sexton. “We don’t want to use up too many spots, since we are expecting more than 10,000 additional Regular Decision applications.”

I have done over 150 hours of com. service in high school. I thought my essays were very good and my recs were good. One of them was from a Jesuit scholastic at my school.
