We are proud parents of a SCU engineering alum. We got the email about this fabulous gift yesterday. SCU is a terrific school…great facilities, which they upgrade and change all the time. The Sobretto family has been more than generous in the past as well. The Library and Learning Commons which opened in 2008 is amazing as well.
Thank you to them for their ongoing commitment to the greater Santa Clara area where they have been donors to many worthwhile things!
Very excited for this incredible donation, the Sobrato’s also brought Bellarmine High School (which was the original SCU site 150+ years ago) to a new level just a few years ago, they give so much of themselves around town. This is a huge boom to SCU. Being in silicon valley, the connections are already there to a great job market, this will do even more. I would love to be wealthy enough to give that much away - how fun would that be?!!!
