So, I have taken sat 1 and i got a 1610. i know it's low..
and i just took it on November 6,2010, and i think i got high 1800 - mid 1900
because Ive had a tutor and been taking practice tests.
well anyways. for the december 4 Sat test, should i take Sat 1 again and try to get a score in the 2000's or take Sat 2 literature? Because for UC schools they want 2 different Sat2 scores and my biology score is bad...
I feel like if i study this month and take lit practice tests, I'll be able to get around the mid 600's for sat 2 lit.
My Sat 2 scores are:
680 -UShistory
660-World history
560-Biology

As a senior, i have a 3.8 unweighted gpa and have extracurriculars. I want to get into for sure UCI, UCSB and it would be great if I could get into UCSD, UCLA, USC, Berkley.

So which do you think is more important in my situation? Sat 1 or Sat 2?

SATII - By the way what was your critical reading score? Literature score is about 50-100 points less than CR usually so be careful. Even though your Biology score sucks the test is straighfoward and is easy to raise with some hard work - I wish I could say the same for Literature.

^You already have two SAT II’s, so you just submit those, and UC’s will consider your two highest SAT II’s. I would advise you to just leave your scores alone and focus on your apps. Unless you feel like theres a good chance that by retaking the SAT you can get a 2000+ then go for it, if not then leave it alone. You could try the December ACT, and see what happens. Colleges take your highest between ACT/SAT; most of them do this. For the record, SAT I a lot more important than SAT II’s for most schools.
