So I have been studying biology from sparknotes and I also have the sat bio barrons book(havent used it yet) . However, there are some topics that appear in more detail in the barron’s book than in sparknotes (i.e human immune system). Should I study these topics from Barrons or should i still study sparknotes? And should sparknotes be enough for test prep. P.S. i dont really have many days left till the exam so cant go through both sparknotes and barrons for each chapter and also cant afford any other books.
Anyone there to help me ?
Hey man I just saw this
I’m taking the SAT Biology on october, too
I strongly suggest that you go through the barron’s book because lots of people vouch for it after having taking the test, and i’ve taken an SAT official test and i can also vouch for it from that experience too, i got a 730 and i still haven’t finished all the topics in the book.
Since you already went through sparknotes then you probably studied a good amount of topics
I suggest you study from barron’s what you didn’t study yet from sparknotes, because you should prioritize on what you didn’t study yet, and then when you’re done review the things you studied from sparknotes from barron’s because barron’s has details that aren’t in sparknotes, and i went through sparknotes. But i suggest that you review the skeletal system specifically from sparknotes because a question or two might come up. It came on the official practice test i took. And the skeletal system isn’t reviewed in the barron’s. But that’s all.
If you need anything else feel free to ask or DM if you want. I’m taking a few other tests so you can hit me up on other subjects too
Thanks a lot! Your advice was helpful. Have you also given Physics Sat subject or wish to appear for it in the future? If so, could u guide me on how the difficulty of the barrons practice tests fares to the difficulty of the actual test? And how do the Barrons biology practice tests fare agianst the actual test?
