Hello all! I am a prospective JHU engineering student and am wondering the same thing as many other applicants… are SAT 2 scores REALLY optional? I only submitted one with my application, given that I only took one. I understand that not having it will obviously not help my case, but will it hinder it? I submitted a 34 ACT and no SAT 1. Thoughts? Thank you!
It says on the website that “your application will not be negatively affected if you choose not to submit Subject Test scores.” I don’t know if any of us would have a way of knowing whether or not this is true, but I don’t think the admissions office has any reason to lie to you. There are other ways to show your academic strengths besides subject tests.
