SAT/ACT score reporting to schools

1) Lets say in October you elect to send SAT or ACT score reports to 10 schools, what do the recipient schools receive? Do they only receive identifying information on the student and the requested scores or do they also see a list of all the schools to which the report is being sent? I have seen (somewhere) a post that implied that schools become aware of your entire application list through these score reports.

2) Lets say you send a score report in October to your EA/ED school of choice, then you take additional tests and now send score reports to 9 more schools. Assuming from above the list of recipients is noted, would the EA/ED school be represented as a school to whom you have applied or only the current nine?

Don't really know why I care, but I was surprised when I saw a comment regarding this topic. I had never thought about what is represented on the reports.

I don't know.

I don't really get what you're asking. If your score report doesn't list the school, that school won't receive the score. Also, the fact that you sent the score report doesn't mean that you're actually applying there.

Basically, I saw a statement about a month ago that was imbedded inside another post. The person stated something about schools, to whom they were submitting scores, would be able to see a list of all the schools that were also receiving your score document and in that way they would know where else you are applying.

My second question was based on the premise that the first was true. If is true, then do the other schools only see the other schools from the current report or cumulatively for all reports to date.

In summary, can school learn about where else you are applying from your SAT/ACT score report?

In summary, no.

I hadn't heard that about SAT/ACT but about FAFSA...also from another post! Chevda, do you know if FAFSA filing is apparent to all schools receiving the info?

Chevda - May I ask how you are certain of this? Have you gotten the opportunity to see one of these reports? I am wondering why the poster I had seen believed this was possible. I appreciate your input.

I haven't seen the report that goes to the schools, but I've spoken to college admissions officers whom I know, and everything I've read (except some postings) have said that College Board sends electronically only the score report, not the list of schools.

I'm not certain about FAFSA; I believe that the list of schools on your SAT may, in fact, be sent with the FAFSA.
