I am taking the SAT at the end of january… but I am taking it through duke TIP (duke tip lets 7th graders take the SAT) and I have only gotten through the first half of algebra + no geometry. However, I have done a fair amount of self studying, so I am not completely clueless. What are the most important algebra and geometry concepts (NOT strategies, I have read a billion of those) if I want to score a 700? Thanks:)
For geometry, focus on working with areas and perimeters and volumes mostly + special triangle properties (found at the beginning of each section)
Check out angles for polygons and intersecting lines too.
That’s what SAT geometry revolves about.
As for Algebra, word problems and solving difficult equations are two important skills.
You might want to go over Barron’s SAT math revision for an idea of what to study. Very insightful.
Good luck!
thank you! I will try that:) @BethanyD
