@UnathleticAsian yes, those are the right answers

What was the answer to the lab safety question?

I did miserably (then again, I didn’t study).

CallMeJonah they were answers 1 and 3. Two mentioned adding excess back into the stock solution. You should never do that, since you risk contamination.

There was so much balancing on that test and i almost ran out of time lol
@CallMeJonah I put that you don’t put water in concentrated acid immediately and always use eye protection

How many T T CE’s did you guys get?

I don’t remember how many I got, but I think it was a good amount. I think in the second column of the TTCEs I got 3 or 4 in a row.

Around 5-6

Okay awesome cuz i got like 4 CE’s in the 2nd column and 6 all together

I know I got TF for the last two

I spent so much time on balancing questions that I had a little less than half the test to go with 20 minutes left. ><

I had to rush through the TFTFCE portion with 5 minutes, so if anyone remembers any questions from those, I’d like to go over them. T^T One of them was the concentration of sodium or whatever. Another two were the Bronsted Lowry nitrite ion and the one about nh3 as a stronger base.

Another question was which would be the most difficult to oxidize. Was it H2 or F2? I chose F2 but I’m thinking it’s H2 since there’s literally only one bond and no valence electrons. GAAAAH.

What did you guys put for:
- hydration reaction?
- lewis acid base (TTCE question)
- lab safety rule
- change in heat of formation

- atomic theory EXCEPT question

My brother said there was a vapor pressure question in the TTCE section and forgot what it was. Does anyone have any recollection of it?

I put
- XY • 5h2o
- cant remember what it looked like
- which one
- na + cl
- pretty sure i got it wrong because i pit a diff answer than those above

What were the answers for the balancing? Smh they took hella long

This was my first SAT (subject test and SAT I) and I’m a junior. I used the Barron’s book last night to study. I was scoring 750+ with ample time remaining to check my work. Today, I had about 15 minutes to do 30 questions. I figured this is because there was A LOT of stoich compared to the Barron’s. I’m definitely going to have to retake. Any suggestions?

@vanillasteam The question was about why Chlorine was found in the gaseous state, and the second statement stated that this was because of Chlorine’s relatively weak intermolecular forces. (I put TTCE)

@skkyga Oh ho, I was in the same situation as you. I took multiple practice tests and have never had that many balancing and stoichiometry problems before. I feel like CollegeBoard was trolling us right before AP’s to just pile on some more stress. ;~; I might have to retake it in October now but I’ve already studied so much. </3

I usually finish tests pretty fast but I was rushing at the end to finish this one. Some of the balancing and stoich took me a while. I’m just hoping for a bigger curve on this one

I guess I can’t complain because I didn’t really prepare much. But, what I did prepare didn’t seem to be so helpful because of how long it took me to do those simple balancing and stoich. questions. Time to get read for AP Chem now.

What was the lab safety one asking? I remember the putting stuff back into stock containers but it’s fuzzy after that.

what did you guys get for these 2 questions:

1) which is the best 50 mL lab equipment to measure something like 23.15 mL (I think the answer choices were like graduated cylinder, beaker, buret, volumetric flask, or erlenmeyer flask)

2) what was the reason for the increase in pressure when we were given a table and a list with numbers for pressure, volume, and PV

1) buret
2) condensation, like going from gas to liquid
