SAT Chemistry Question

Hi! I will present the SAT Chem the next week, and I have a question related of one of the practice tests. The questions has a chart with a couple of ionization energy and after that the question is: The ionization energies (Potential) for the removal of different electrons from an atom of an element in the gas phase are shown above. An atom of this element is most likely to form an ion that has charge of:

a)+1
b)+2
c)+3
d)+4
e)+5

the answer is “b” but I needed to check on internet that specific value, so that is impossible to figure out during the test! or there are any strategies to that type of question?

Did you notice how much greater the third value is than the second value?

No, I did not notice that! Thanks 1golfer1 , with that you can know that there is a change of level between the 2nd and the 3rd ionization level and the only atoms that fit with that condition are in the second group. Thanks

PD: Sorry if I have a grammar issue. I am from Venezuela, so my English isn’t the best
