SAT CR Jan 2008

enthralling or convoluted?

strident, convoluted

means harsh

means complicated (the sentence involved the word intricacy)

YAY I got convoluted. I changed it at the last minute because enthralling could work but it's not implied in the question.

I got strident also.

Convoluted seems to be right.

By the way I got systematic and thorough too.

convoluted and strident are correct, i'm pretty sure

stupid question: was the statistics one "demographic"? i feel like that's too easy...

yea, i got demographic for the statistical question

The last Dual was a *****... that European and Homer stuff just killed me.

anyone remembers questions from the last reading section?

Which section was the experimental section??? The last dual section?? AKS EUROPEAN AND HOMER STUFF?? or.. one of the three easy sections??? DOES ANYONE KNOW???

One more vote for demographic because the sentence said that they were interested in the density, social status or whatever. I'm 100% sure it was demographic.

I was wondering if it was "systematic and thorough" but finally decided it was the last answer (meaning it was long and tedious or something like that) because sport comentators NEVER shut up.

Got strident too.

Got enthralling but now that I come to think of it, it was convoluted because they stated that she expressed a lot in a FEW words which would have been extra info unless it was what the gap was refering to. Oh dear god...

The question about the woman writer whose characters never got punished for their wrongdoings was the answer with "transgress"

The question about the virus outbreaks was the answer with "check" and something.

And which was the experimental? It seems everyone got the bioluminescence so it should be the next to last Critical Reading (the CR after the bioluminescence)

I wish EURO & HOMER was the experiment section, 'cause I did badly on that...

@dychang and Flame.

Nobody can tell you for sure which one is the experimental section, because everybody got different experimental sections. Some people got math as their experimental, some got reading, and some people like me got writing.
The only way you can determine your own experimental is to find out which extra 25min section you got. The format should be as follows:

Writing:
1 essay, 1 25min section, and 1 10min section
Reading:
2 25min sections, 1 20min section
Math:
2 25min sections, 1 20min section

Now just see between sections 2-7 which extra one you had.

And, 100% sure that the last dual section was NOT experimental.

what was the answer to the sentence completion that talked about how conservationists wanted to protect the land...i remember one of the answer choices being "arrest"...

Why couldn't colorful be robust?

Also was given = granted or inclined in bio luminescence?

thx

*****.. I did horribly on the last dual passage.. I guess another dual passage section with 25 min. was the experimental, which I aced... I hate CB..

^ i think i put granted too

I got granted too.

The "arrest" question I got arrest too (because it was refering to a development)

The experimental section was not the first CR section and not the 4th so it was either the 2nd (bioluminescence) or the other one which I don't remember.

hell yeah! "granted" hee hee

I put granted too. Yay!
