Desirous (De*sir"ous) (?), a.
[F. d

The drug one wasn't however or supposedly, it was "in other words," because the two statements weren't contrasting.

No, it was definitely desirous (I realized this only after the test, though -_-). Desirous describes a subject feeling desire, not the object of desire. The correct word in this instance would be "desirable."

Wait so what was the sentence?

Alright a person can be desirous of an object.
If a person desires an object, the object is DESIRED, not DESIROUS.
Hence, desirous was the grammatical malfeasance.

Oh, crap, I forgot that...oh well. I just knew desirous was a word and assumed they were trying to trick you :/

what were the questions to the "mock" and "granted" answers?

and i forgot about desirable as well...ohh well, at least i didnt need my writing score to increase...

Anyone arguing that desirous was used correctly deserves to be shot. :o

falls down dead

Dear God, it was only one question.......

....THAT I GOT RIGHT! Ha!

Can someone explain 'understandable' for the poetry?

God damnit, I was feeling pretty good about myself up until the poetry.

^ same here
the "understandable" was because it admitted that the translation actually did have many errors (it translated by sound, not really by literal meaning) and then went on to say that it was "as literal a translation as possible" or something. so the people who were mad were understandably so.

Ugh, not looking forward to seeing my CR score. What made things worst is that our proctor called 5 minutes on that section when it was actually 10 minutes (well, he called 5 minutes twice so either that or he give us an extra five minutes), which made me go into hyperdrive mode, putting any answer that looked right cause I wasn't even halfway through.

For the Absolute Value one, the line had a NEGATIVE slope, and f(x)=y, and then it asks for y=absolute value of f(x). I think that I just gave the question away and I chose the upside down V, though I think it's the V. Is my thinking about the negative slope of y and f(x) making the absolute value an upside down V right, since a negative in front of the absolute value makes it negative no matter what?

citybirds27, desirous was DEFINITELY the answer. sat has those types of diction error Qs a lot.

understandable was the answer. i was 100% sure when i chose that but i dont remember the q and my reasoning

Kumar, I chose the upward V on that question. I graphed it on my TI-84 to make sure as well.

By the way, I bombed the CR part!

its convoluted. it directly said intrricate

there was a question that had "him and me" as the direct object. was that the answer? I wasn't sure if that was correct or if it could've been "him and I"
