I am a junior and have taken the SAT w/ essay twice, scoring a 6/6/6 and a 6/5/6. I plan on taking the test again in May, as my current score is 1480 (770 math, 710 r&w), and I was wondering if I should take the essay again. I know 6/6/6 isn’t stellar, but I plan on majoring in applied math or the like, so I don’t feel like it’d matter too much. Thanks for any input.
I have been looking into this, as my daughter took the SAT in December and got 7/7/7 on the essay but will be taking the SAT again in January. Almost all advice on college confidential says to check with specific colleges to see their rules. However, from what I can gather, as long as you are ok submitting one of your previous SAT sittings with the essay, it seems like it is not necessary to take the essay again.
