I have a question about SAT testing for SCEA. I'd really like to apply early action but the only time I can take the two subject tests required is in November 7th since I'm retaking my SAT in OCtober. But the deadline for SCEA is November 1st. I know Yale says that usually they receive the scores if you test in November...but what has peoples experience been with that? Where would I indicate that the reason they don't have my scores is b/c I'm testing in November on my application? Should the guidance counselor mention that or what?

There should be a spot on your application in which you self-report SAT and ACT scores. You can put down that you are taking your SAT II Subject Tests on Nov. 7.

Also, have you taken the ACT (and if so, does it equal or excel your SAT I score)? If you have taken the ACT, I believe that it replaces the SAT II (as well as the SAT I) requirement for Yale. This doesn’t work for Harvard and Princeton, but I’m pretty sure that the ACT replaces such a requirement for Yale.

I’m doing 2 subjects in November too. It says on the Yale website that the latest deadline for accepting SAT scores for SCEA is the November test date. However, they cannot guarantee that the scores will arrive in time (though past experience suggests they will).
